I'd like to see the combine have a much larger field but then the logistics of many players playing in front of few coaches comes into play. Keep in mind that the combine is senior only. Generation Adidas players are added if they sign before the combine, I believe. <BR/><BR/>The future of soccer in the US is the youth club model where kids grow up at clubs to join the senior roster. However, we're not there yet so we have to put up with this arcane draft/combine set up. Players that played for the youth national teams when they were young get invited over deserving players, even though they didn’t excel when they are in college. They just ride their name. But hey if that is what the MLS coaches want to see than who am I to say different. What kid would want to get paid 12k a year to get signed to one of these teams anyway? I felt that Mike Graczyk should have been invited from New Mexico. All time leading career shutout leader with 30. lead team to national championship his first year playing. career goals against average .74. Helped turn new mexico into a national powerhouse. Cervi is just a big guy with no coordination and horrible on crosses. Allen anchored Creighton to four NCAA Tournament bids in his career. In the Sweet 16 two years and the Elite Eight in another. Allen and Steve Sandbo played against each other this year in the NCAA tournament, in which Creighto defeated SMU 3 - 0. By all accounts, Allen outplayed Sandbo and was instrumental in securing the shutout victory (to become only the second team in 2007 to shut out a very powerful SMU team).
